Summary: Our remote CPA/EA opportunity is considered a key position and your main responsibility is to assist and support one of our senior Bright!Tax tax consultant CPAs in the preparation of US tax returns for Americans living overseas. This is a long term position with significant potential for growth.

Hours of work: Full time position. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. Exact hourly requirements may vary with some seasonality – though, unlike traditional tax accounting firms, we typically remain busy all year long!
Description: To assist Lead CPAs with the preparation of US expat tax returns, client communication, timely workflow, and fluid in-house communication. To continually work with clients and associates to find efficiencies and improve our clients’ experience with Bright!Tax. Our goal is ‘perfection’ in everything we do.
Required skills: CPA or EA credentials a must. Ability to work independently, highly organized, self-starter, ideally, you have previous US expat tax prep experience. Proficient at the completion of Forms 1116, 2555, FinCen 114, 5471, 3520, etc.
Expected compensation: Paid on a per project basis. The more you are able to dedicate yourself to this position, the more you earn.
Vacation: 2 weeks, after 6 month probationary period. Following the initial probationary period, a performance review will be conducted on a regular basis to assess performance to-date.

Summary: The Bright!Tax Client Support Assistant will respond to general pre-client inquiries and contact other leads provided by Bright!Tax as described below with the objective to bring them onboard as clients.
For appropriate business operating time zones, candidates must be American and reside in Europe, Brazil or Argentina.
To excel in this role you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and an enthusiasm to chase and close new business from inbound calls and emails. Hours of work: Ideally, you would be available to respond to live, incoming calls and online inquiries during 9am – 5pm London time, plus outside of these hours as you are available. You will be working 100% remotely.
– To respond to phone inquiries, by answering calls directly and from voicemail messages, with the aim of listening to prospective client’s needs and current US tax situation, offering general guidance, and communicating the merits of Bright!Tax.
– To promptly respond to incoming email inquiries.
– To call non-responsive clients with the objective to reengage them.
– To speak to other inquiries we provide you with.
Compensation: Starting salary range $20-25,000 commensurate with your abilities and potential.
Probationary trial period: an initial trial period of 3 months will allow both you and us to determine whether we’re happy with our working relationship. Assuming you and we are, performance reviews will be conducted on a regular and ongoing basis.
Reporting structure: This position reports directly to Hugo Lesser, Communications Director, and then to Greg Dewald, CEO.
