The prestigious EMMA awards recognize the best firms working in the global mobility industry based on superior service and innovation.
This year’s EMMA winners were announced on May 4th at an exclusive gala dinner at the Marriott Hotel in Denver, Colorado.
Bright!Tax was nominated in two award categories, Tax Provider of the Year, and Expatriate Banking and Financial Services Innovation. We won the first of these, beating some larger and longer established firms, and finished runner up in the Financial Services Innovation category behind banking behemoth HSBC.
The judges commented:

Just 5 years old, Bright!Tax has grown at an astounding rate by providing superior levels of service and accounting quality to its clients.
In the last year, Bright!Tax’s has transformed expat tax preparation by introducing industry-first innovations including the Bright!Tax Online Client Tax Organizer, which alleviates the need for clients to fill out a long client questionnaire form when they start their tax return each year.
We’ve also introduced the Bright!Tax App, which
allows clients to manage their US tax filing from their phone or tablet, including communicating with their CPA and securely scanning and uploading documents.
Gregory Dewald, Bright!Tax founder and CEO, was in Denver to receive the award. Afterwards he said:
